The Daily Bread Food pantry is a ministry of the Royal Palm Covenant Church and is committed to feeding the hungry in Palm Beach County. The pantry’s motto is endeavoring to help as many as possible with contributions and support of the members and local business.
Covenant churches understand that helping the hungry is central to our Christian mission, we minister to the soul and body.
In March 2011 the church applied for and was accepted in the food program of Feeding South Florida. This allows us to purchase food, perishable and non-perishable items. We are classified as a “B” class Agency. The pantry is able to purchase in the shared maintenance program $0.19 per pound for self serve items. The Food Pantry is also a member of the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) food program
The numbers seeking help at the Pantry has increased significantly to 3,730 individuals through regular distribution on Thursdays. For our annual Thanksgiving basket giveaway in 2011, 526 families received a bountiful basket, including a turkey
